Privacy Policy

To protect and ensure your privacy and to safeguard your financial information, never access our web site through any link provided by a third party. This is a common method of fraud.

Total ePay will never request your account information like passwords, PINs, (personal identification numbers), bank account numbers or credit card numbers by email. To guard against email related frauds, you should never provide such information by e-mail. In order to operate its transaction processing business, Total ePay Corp. (referred to herein as "ePay") collects, uses, and-in limited circumstances-shares certain personally identifiable information about our customers and their end users/consumers. This policy is intended to provide notice regarding what information we collect and how that information is used. The effective date of this policy is March 21, 2005. Information Collected

Total ePay collects the following information:

Information from Customers: Total ePay collects information about its customers as part of the application process and as required for the provision of processing services.

Information from Consumers: In processing transactions for its merchants, Total ePay receives identifying information from consumers, either directly or via the merchants. This information may include names, addresses, credit card or checking account numbers and other information related to a purchase transaction.

Use of Information

Total ePay shares information collected from customers as required with vendors, banking institutions, transaction processors, and credit card associations only as necessary to provide processing services. Total ePay does not sell or rent this information and will only share it as provided herein.

Total ePay collects information from consumers solely to process payment transactions on behalf of its merchants and will only share consumer information with the merchant who originated the transactions, vendors, processors, banking institutions, and credit card associations as necessary to process payment transactions. Total ePay does not sell or rent this information, and will only share it as provided herein. Total ePay may be forced to disclose such information to comply with the federal, state or local laws or regulations, or to comply with civil, criminal or regulatory investigation, subpoena, or summons by federal, state or local authorities.

Surveys

Total ePay requests information from customers and consumers via customer service surveys. Participation in these surveys is totally voluntary. Consumers' participation or non-participation in these surveys will not prejudice such users in the receiving of services provided. Information requested may include contact information (e.g. name and address) and general demographic information (e.g. location and age). This information will be used for purposes of monitoring and/or improving Total ePay's provision of services.

Security

Total ePay takes many industry-standard security measures to ensure that personally identifiable information is not lost, misused, or altered and is protected from unauthorized access. These measures include but are not limited to:

  • Encryption of data.
  • Internal procedures that limit access to the information.
  • Implementation of policies and procedures to provide physical security of the information.
  • Regular internal and external audits of security procedures.

Correcting and Updating Information

Opt-Out Option

By providing identifying information and/or using Total ePay's services, customers and consumers opt to have the information utilized by Total ePay. Total ePay does not use the identifying information for any secondary purposes, nor does Total ePay share the identifying information with third parties whose knowledge is not necessary in order for us to provide the service. Notification of Changes

Total ePay reserves the right to change its privacy policy at any time. Any changes to Total ePay's privacy policy will be updated to the Total ePay.com Web site and will be made available via the link to the privacy policy on the main site. If for any reason Total ePay decides to use personally identifiable information in a manner other than stated at the time it was collected, Total ePay will notify merchants and/or consumers via the contact information provided to Total ePay and will provide the option to opt out of such use.
